Dear Dill
Gem and I had so much fun with you this summer. Miss Rachel misses you so much now that you are gone. We hope that you are having lots of fun with you mother now in Meridian and we are looking forward to seeing you next summer.
Boo Radley is still hiding in his house. We sure tried out hardest to get him to come out this summer, but we weren't lucky. Even when Gem ran and touched his house, we still couldn't get him to come out. I remember how the shutter moved a little. That was the only sign we've seen of life in there.
Tomorrow I start school and I'm awfully excited. Gem learns so much at school, and I can't wait to know as much as he does. I'll write soon and tell you all about it.
